Free Back-To-School Helps

Marilyn Woodard

If you are running Microsoft software -- and who isn't? -- you can get some very cool back-to-school helps for free.

Microsoft Office Online has all kinds of downloadable templates. The back-to-school section has four different subsections: for students, for teachers, for parents and for administrators. Each area has some things you might expect (school year calendars) and some things you might not (templates for writing tests, thank you cards, graduation announcements, even a template for a complaint letter!)

Each template has a picture, a short description and a label that tells you in which Microsoft product it works (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

There are templates that apply to every school age.

• Certificates for preschoolers.

• Planners, schedules and grade trackers for older students.

• College comparison charts for high school students.

• Calendars, grade book pages, sports team information forms and much more for adults.

Taking a few minutes to look through the templates could save you a lot of time this year!
